Located between the
dyno rollers indicated by the red bar, is a scale that helps diagnose steering
problems under fully loaded road driving conditions.
Power driven rollers on
the VIS spin at 5 m.p.h. and measure rolling resistance that show vehicle
efficiency and potential lost fuel economy due to brake drag. This full brake
operational test of the steering axle will show how each wheel operates
together and gives us the percentage of braking force required to stop the each
axle.
