This video clip is the rigid test of the front suspension for King Pin wear on the front steering axle.
We are amazed at the trucks coming to our shop with the driver complaining of bad or loose King Pins and wanting replacement. In most cases thanks to the through test performed on the VIS under actual road driving conditions by our mechanics we have found other causes for the looseness and play in the suspension. With our through test procedures there is no question about the movement of the King Pins or suspension and how they react to actual road conditions.
This extensive testing under actual road driving conditions help us avoid costly mis-diagnosed repairs that cost the truck and fleet owner down time, parts and labor charges that are not needed.
